"Judge not, that ye be not judged." — Matthew 7:1 (ASV)
Judge not, that you be not judged.
You are not called to judge; you are not qualified to judge: God is the Judge: he puts down one, and sets up another. There is much better work to be done by us than that of setting up as judges of others.
Judge not that you be not judged.
Do not set yourselves up as critics, especially in the act of worship. Probably there is no greater destroyer of profit in the hearing of the word than is the spirit of carping criticism.
