Charles Spurgeon Commentary Matthew 7:14

"For narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it." — Matthew 7:14 (ASV)

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that of it.

It is still so. Indeed, none find it, unless grace finds them. He who made that gate must go after the wandering sheep, and bring them through that gate. They will never choose it of themselves.
