"Every one therefore that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them, shall be likened unto a wise man, who built his house upon the rock:" — Matthew 7:24 (ASV)

Therefore whoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house upon a rock:

What a mercy there is a rock to build on! We could not have made one; but there is the rock.
