Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the concision: for we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God, and glory in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh:" — Philippians 3:2-3 (ASV)
Beware of the concision. For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
There were some who had confidence in circumcision, who greatly troubled Paul. The apostle says that they were "the concision", the cutters-off, of whom he would have the Philippians beware.
