SCRIPTURE

"Sheol and Abaddon are never satisfied; And the eyes of man are never satisfied. The refining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold; And a man is [tried] by his praise." — Proverbs 27:20-21 (ASV)

Many a man, who can bear adversity, cannot bear prosperity.

The world's censures seldom do a Christian any harm, but it is the breath of applause that often gives us the scarlet fever of pride.
