Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"And the dragon waxed wroth with the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her seed, that keep the commandments of God, and hold the testimony of Jesus:" — Revelation 12:17 (ASV)
And the dragon was wroth with the woman. If ever you meet with a church of God which the devil likes, it is good for nothing; but if it is a true church of God, if it holds the truth, and if it walks in holiness, it will always be true.
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed. He had destroyed many already with that flood of persecution, and he continued to battle with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Into the deep mysteries of this passage I have not attempted to go, but have simply skimmed the surface. May God bless the reading to us.
