Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"And I saw the heaven opened; and behold, a white horse, and he that sat thereon called Faithful and True; and in righteous he doth judge and make war. And his eyes [are] a flame of fire, and upon his head [are] many diadems; and he hath a name written which no one knoweth but he himself. And he [is] arrayed in a garment sprinkled with blood: and his name is called The Word of God." — Revelation 19:11-13 (ASV)
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
That same Logos of whom John wrote in the gospel now stands before him, and he beholds him in his glory. What a delight it must have been to the seer of Patmos to see his Lord and Master once again in different attire from that in which he had beheld him when, in humiliation, he tabernacled here among the sons of men! His name is still the same — the Logos — the Word of God.
