Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God: her light was like unto a stone most precious, as it were a jasper stone, clear as crystal:" — Revelation 21:10-11 (ASV)
And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God. Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; (Revelation 21:10–11)
But what the glory of God may be, what mortal mind can imagine. All the imagery which the Apostle uses must fall far short of that simple expression, Having the glory of God. That glory is to be upon the Church, and upon every individual member of it. The glory of every believer shall be nothing less than the glory of God.
