Charles Spurgeon Commentary Revelation 22:10

"And he saith unto me, Seal not up the words of the prophecy of this book; for the time is at hand." — Revelation 22:10 (ASV)

And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

There was no need to seal the prophecy, as though it only related to those who would live in distant ages: "The time is at hand."

And he says to me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is near.

"There is no need to roll it up and set a seal to it; since it is to be fulfilled so soon, leave it open."
