SCRIPTURE

"for, Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?" — Romans 10:13-14 (ASV)

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? (Romans 10:13–14)

When I hear anyone say, "I cannot believe in Christ, but I will pray to him for faith," I say, "Surely the prayer is more difficult than the believing: How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?"

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? (Romans 10:13–14).

They cannot rightly pray without faith, for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6).
