"For if they that are of the law are heirs, faith is made void, and the promise is made of none effect:" — Romans 4:14 (ASV)

For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:

If you are on that course of salvation by the law, then what have you to do with faith? And what have you to do with promise, and what have you to do with Christ? You are on a different course altogether.
