Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the likeness of Adam`s transgression, who is a figure of him that was to come." — Romans 5:14 (ASV)
After the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
So that the sin of Adam took effect upon the human race before the law came, and even upon those who had no personal transgression — unconscious infants, I mean — causing them to die.
