Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"and stedfastness, approvedness; and approvedness, hope: and hope putteth not to shame; because the love of God hath been shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Spirit which was given unto us." — Romans 5:4-5 (ASV)
And patience, experience and experience, hope: and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Do you know what this means, dear friend, or is it all Greek to you? The Lord make it indeed plain everyday English to you! May you understand it, feel it, know it, prove it, taste it, enjoy it! If you do so, happy indeed are you.
