SCRIPTURE

"for he that hath died is justified from sin." — Romans 6:7 (ASV)

For he that is dead is freed from sin.

He can no longer live in it, for he is dead; and if we are really dead in Christ, we can no longer live in sin as we were accustomed to do.

For he that is dead is freed from sin.

The man is dead. The law cannot ask more of a criminal than to yield his life. If, therefore, he should live again after death, he would not be one who could suffer for his past offences. They were committed in another life, and he that is dead is freed from sin.
