Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death no more hath dominion over him." — Romans 6:9 (ASV)
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
So we, being raised from our former death, will die no more; death has no more dominion over us. That is to say, sin cannot reign in us again; we are dead to it, we are brought into a new life that can never end, even as our Lord Jesus Christ is. There is a parallel between us and Christ, even as there is a union between us.
