Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"So then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh: for if ye live after the flesh, ye must die; but if by the Spirit ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live." — Romans 8:12-13 (ASV)
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if you live after the flesh, you shall die: but if you through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, you shall live.
It is a living thing, and a life-giving thing, for you shall live.
