Colossians 4:16

SCRIPTURE

"And when this epistle hath been read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye also read the epistle from Laodicea." — Colossians 4:16 (ASV)

After reading this letter, the Colossian Christians were to see to it that it was read also in the Laodicean church. Perhaps they first made a copy of it to keep for themselves and then sent the original to the Laodiceans. In return, the Colossians were to read “the letter from Laodicea.” Most likely Paul wrote to the Laodicean church a letter that has not been preserved (cf. also 1 Corinthians 5:9 and comment on that verse).
