"cease not to give thanks for you, making mention [of you] in my prayers;" — Ephesians 1:16 (ASV)

Paul assures the Ephesians of his unremitting remembrance of them in his prayers—both thankfulness and intercession. He had already taken on similar responsibilities in relation to other churches. “Remembering” (lit., “making mention”) implies that those for whom Paul prayed were actually named before God.
