Hebrews 11:38

SCRIPTURE

"(of whom the world was not worthy), wandering in deserts and mountains and caves, and the holes of the earth." — Hebrews 11:38 (ASV)

To all outward appearance, these people of faith were insignificant and unimportant. But in truth they were worth more than all the rest of humanity put together, though they lacked everything. Their description is rounded off with the reminder that they had no settled homes. They wandered in lonely places, and their shelters were “caves and holes in the ground.” The heroes of the faith had no mansions; they cared for other things than their own comfort.
