"He that loveth me not keepeth not my words: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father`s who sent me." — John 14:24 (ASV)

Being obedient to Jesus’ words extends beyond keeping the charges he personally delivered. Jesus equated his teaching with the Father’s will. Thus, loving Jesus is demonstrated by one’s obedience to the revealed will of God, the Bible.
