John 16:7

SCRIPTURE

"Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I go, I will send him unto you." — John 16:7 (ASV)

Jesus tells the disciples that his separation from them is in their best interest. As long as he is with them in person, his work is localized; once he leaves, it will be impossible to communicate with them equally at all times and in all places. The coming of the “Counselor” , therefore, will equip them for a wider and more potent ministry.
