"So the disciples went away again unto their own home." — John 20:10 (ASV)

Puzzled but convinced that something unusual had occurred at the tomb, Peter and John returned to their lodgings in Jerusalem (possibly the “upper room”) or perhaps to the same place that John took Mary at the time of the Crucifixion.
