John 6:30

SCRIPTURE

"They said therefore unto him, What then doest thou for a sign, that we may see, and believe thee? what workest thou?" — John 6:30 (ASV)

The third question about requesting a miraculous sign seems incredible. They seem to have forgotten that the Lord had just provided one in the feeding of the five thousand. The crowd went on to reveal their attempt to evaluate him by the ministry of Moses, who had provided manna for their ancestors in the desert.
