"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth hath eternal life." — John 6:47 (ASV)

As emphatically as he can, Jesus states that the one who believes in him “has everlasting life.” The particular Greek construction used here indicates that the person’s entire life is characterized by belief in Jesus.
