SCRIPTURE
"These words spake he in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man took him; because his hour was not yet come." — John 8:20 (ASV)
The second part of this verse is a footnote John adds that relates to the program of Jesus’ life (7:6, 30; 12:23, 27; 17:1). Jesus lived a protected life until his work was completed.
