Expositor's Bible Commentary Commentary
"I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you: howbeit he that sent me is true; and the things which I heard from him, these speak I unto the world." — John 8:26 (ASV)
Jesus certainly had enough accusations that he could have mustered to bring judgment on his accusers. The remainder of the verse implies that such judgment is tied to their unwillingness to acknowledge Jesus’ relationship to the Father. Because he was speaking what the Father told him, the Father’s judgment would come on them, too.
