John 9:31

SCRIPTURE

"We know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and do his will, him he heareth." — John 9:31 (ASV)

Again the blind man pressed the pragmatic argument, and he also employed an argument of his own. Since, according to the assumption of the Jews, “God does not listen to sinners” (cf. Psalms 66:18; Proverbs 28:9; Isaiah 1:15), how could Jesus have performed this miracle if he were under divine condemnation? Rather, the man reasoned, the healing should be ample evidence that Jesus came from God.
