"But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it." — Luke 11:28 (ASV)

This saying provides another instance of Luke’s identification of Jesus’ sayings as the “word of God.” It must not be taken as reflecting unfavorably on Mary.
