"For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." — Luke 12:34 (ASV)

This verse shows the essential thrust of Jesus’ teaching. It is not the extent but the place of one’s possessions that is emphasized, because it is the direction of one’s “heart,” heavenward or earthward, that is important.
