"And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God." — Luke 14:15 (ASV)

The concept of future celebration in the kingdom is certainly biblical. Jesus addressed the presumption by some present, perhaps including the speaker in v.1, that they would inevitably participate.
