"And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one go to them from the dead, they will repent." — Luke 16:30 (ASV)
This unchangeability comes from a hardness not only toward Christ but also toward “Moses and the Prophets” (cf. Jn 5:46). Not even a spectacular “sign,” like one returning from the dead, can change those whose hearts are set against God’s word, as the response of many to the resurrection of Jesus was to show.
As the heading indicates, this unit contains various brief teachings that Luke brings together. The common unifying theme is attitudes in the Christian community.
