"And after the space of about one hour another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this man also was with him; for he is a Galilaean." — Luke 22:59 (ASV)

The third speaker then makes a definite assertion about Peter’s association with Jesus. Luke does not record Peter’s oath as Matthew and Mark do, but he does record Peter’s claim to ignorance about Jesus. At about this time, just as Jesus had predicted, the rooster crowed.
