"And amazement came upon all, and they spake together, one with another, saying, What is this word? for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out." — Luke 4:36 (ASV)

Once again Luke notes the amazement of the people—this time not only at his teaching and authority but also at his power. Luke’s theme of the spread of the Gospel finds expression in the conclusion of the narrative.
