"And there went forth a rumor concerning him into every place of the region round about." — Luke 4:37 (ASV)

Once again Luke notes the amazement of the people—this time not only at his teaching and authority but also at his power. Luke’s theme of the spread of the Gospel finds expression in the conclusion of the narrative.
