"Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that which he thinketh he hath." — Luke 8:18 (ASV)

Those who accept the message of the kingdom will also be given the knowledge of the “secret,” but those who reject it will lose even the opportunity of hearing more teaching (cf. Matthew 13:11).
