SCRIPTURE
"While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue`s [house], saying, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Teacher." — Luke 8:49 (ASV)
The episode of the sick woman delayed Jesus until word of the death of Jairus’s daughter reached him. Yet the woman’s healing also paved the way for Jesus’ words in v.50.
