Mark 10:14

SCRIPTURE

"But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me; forbid them not: for to such belongeth the kingdom of God." — Mark 10:14 (ASV)

Jesus was “indignant” (GK 24) when he realized that the disciples thought children were unimportant and bothersome. Mark never softens the human emotions of Jesus, nor is he less than candid about the failings of the disciples. Jesus wanted children to come to him and not to be hindered in their coming. After all, children in their receptivity and dependence exemplify the characteristics of those who possess God’s kingdom.
