"What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." — Mark 10:9 (ASV)

A husband and wife are to work together in marriage as a team of oxen yoked together. Behind the indissolubility of their marriage is the authority of God himself. Anyone who instigates a divorce is tearing apart an intimate union that God has created.
