Mark 11:21

SCRIPTURE

"And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Rabbi, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away." — Mark 11:21 (ASV)

The next morning, on returning to Jerusalem from Bethany, Jesus and his disciples passed the fig tree again , now totally destroyed. Peter, remembering what Jesus had said, called his attention to the withered tree. Jesus did not in any way interpret the event. Yet the meaning is obvious: Jesus’ predicted judgment on the temple would come to pass as surely as his prediction of the withering of the fig tree (cf. 13:1–2).
