Mark 16:10

SCRIPTURE

"She went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept." — Mark 16:10 (ASV)

Mary carried out the command of the angel given in v.7. She found the disciples in a state of mourning (v.10)—but not for long. Her witness to them was that Jesus was alive, and she knew it to be so because she had seen him. The reluctance of the disciples to believe her is certainly understandable (v.11; cf. Matthew 28:17). A resurrection is no ordinary event!
