Mark 5:38

SCRIPTURE

"And they come to the house of the ruler of the synagogue; and he beholdeth a tumult, and [many] weeping and wailing greatly." — Mark 5:38 (ASV)

When Jesus arrived at Jairus’s house, a great commotion was taking place. Professional mourners had been secured and were already at work. Since Jairus occupied a prominent position in the Jewish community, the number of professional mourners was large. So along with members of his family, they were making a great uproar.
