"And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the demon is gone out of thy daughter." — Mark 7:29 (ASV)

Jesus was pleased with the woman’s reply. It revealed to him not only her wit but also her faith and humility, and he responded by declaring that her daughter had been healed (this is the only instance of healing at a distance found in Mark’s gospel). The woman returned home and discovered the truth of what Jesus had said.
