Expositor's Bible Commentary Commentary Mark 8:38

"For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of man also shall be ashamed of him, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels." — Mark 8:38 (ASV)

Jesus climaxes his warning section by referring to those who are ashamed of him and his words. In the End, at the Judgment (cf. 2 Thessalonians 1:7), the Son of Man will be ashamed of any who are ashamed of him.
