"Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish." — Matthew 18:14 (ASV)
Jesus drives the lesson home: the heavenly Father is unwilling for any of “these little ones” (see comment on vv.3–6) to be lost. If that is his will, why would anyone else seek to lead one of them astray? God loves each individual sheep, so that the flock as a whole may not lose a single one of its members.
