"But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I hope that through your prayers I shall be granted unto you." — Philemon 1:22 (ASV)

Here the suggestion of an imminent visit lends more weight to Paul’s hints and requests. The hope expressed in these words seems to imply that the apostle is nearby. He expects to be released soon and to see the outcome of his letter at first hand.
