Expositor's Bible Commentary Commentary Philippians 2:18

"and in the same manner do ye also joy, and rejoice with me." — Philippians 2:18 (ASV)

Likewise the Philippians should display the same attitude as Paul. They must not wring their hands nor bewail their own trials and Paul’s. They must learn to find real joy as they work out their salvation and learn to share Paul’s attitude about his situation.
