"Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to render to each man according as his work is." — Revelation 22:12 (ASV)

This second of three announcements of the imminent return of Jesus in this chapter (cf. vv.7, 20) is associated with the truth of rewards and judgment based on deeds (cf. comment on 20:12). On the terms Alpha and Omega, etc., see comments on 1:8, 17.
