Revelation 22:6

SCRIPTURE

"And he said unto me, These words are faithful and true: and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his angels to show unto his servants the things which must shortly come to pass." — Revelation 22:6 (ASV)

A word of assurance similar to that in 19:9 and 21:5 provides the transition from the glorious vision of the Holy City to the final words of the book. An angel declares that it is “the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets,” the one from whom prophets like John receive their message, that assures the readers of the speedy fulfillment of all that has been revealed (cf. 1:1; 10:6–7).
