"The first Woe is past: behold, there come yet two Woes hereafter." — Revelation 9:12 (ASV)

This verse is transitional, indicating that the “first woe” (fifth trumpet) is finished and two woes are yet to come (presumably the sixth and seventh trumpets; cf. 8:13 with 11:14). There may be in this verse a resumption of the eagle’s words (cf. 8:13).
