"And they passed through Pisidia, and came to Pamphylia." — Acts 14:24 (ASV)
Passing through Pisidia. We have already said that Paul and Barnabas came to Antioch of Pisidia. Being now about to return to Antioch of Syria, from where they were sent away, they go through Pamphylia, which is the middle region toward Mount Taurus. And Perga and Attalia are cities lying near together. And since Luke says that they preached the Word in only one of them, we may therefore guess that opportunity was not offered to them everywhere to teach, an opportunity which they were accustomed never to neglect or let pass.
